Power monitoring

Turn electrical measurements into a useful view of facility performance. We scope power monitoring systems around the readings, reporting and operating decisions your team needs, from a single metered installation to a distributed facility.

Work can include metering architecture, communications, software setup, dashboards, alarms and reports. Energy use, demand, load trends and power-quality investigation are matched to the available meters and selected software. Panel building and field installation can be added as separate work packages.

Typical scope

  • Metering requirements and monitoring architecture
  • Energy, demand and load-profile reporting
  • Alarm configuration and electrical event investigation
  • Power-quality analysis with compatible metering
The intended outcome

A defined monitoring scope, verified data points and usable operational views.

Platform expertise

Select the platform
around the operational need.

Three different operational needs: power analytics, electrical supervision and building management. Software and integration services are scoped to the platform you use.

01 / PME

Energy and power-quality analytics

EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert

PME brings together electrical measurements, historical trends, energy reports and power-quality information. It supports analysis of usage patterns, load behavior and disturbances, helping facility teams investigate issues and establish an evidence-based view of energy performance.

Typical project scope includes metering and device setup, monitoring graphics, dashboards, report configuration and integration with existing equipment.

Manufacturer platform overview

Relevant capabilities

  • Energy trends, dashboards and reporting
  • Power-quality event and waveform analysis
  • Alarm grouping and incident investigation
  • Energy cost allocation and capacity assessment
02 / Power Operation

Electrical SCADA and operational visibility

EcoStruxure Power Operation

Formerly EcoStruxure Power SCADA Operation

Power Operation is an electrical SCADA platform for facilities requiring real-time monitoring and supervisory control. Operator graphics, electrical single-line views, alarms and event timelines help teams understand network conditions and investigate disturbances across connected electrical equipment.

Project scope can include device communications, operator displays, alarm configuration and integration. Control functions are defined around the approved operating requirements and connected equipment.

Manufacturer platform overview

Relevant capabilities

  • Live electrical single-line and equipment views
  • Alarm, trend and sequence-of-events analysis
  • Electrical supervisory monitoring and control
  • Integration across supported third-party devices
03 / EBO

Building management and system integration

EcoStruxure Building Operation

EBO is a building management platform for viewing, managing and connecting systems such as HVAC, lighting and electrical infrastructure. It supports operational graphics, trends and alarms, with native interfaces including BACnet and Modbus.

Our project scope can include data interfaces, building-system views, trends and alarms, coordinated with the facility’s controls team and installed architecture.

Manufacturer platform overview

Relevant capabilities

  • Building-system graphics, trends and alarms
  • BACnet and Modbus integration as supported
  • Electrical and energy data within building views
  • Interfaces coordinated with existing controls

Platform capabilities are summarized from Schneider Electric documentation. Electrical and building-system integration is coordinated with the applicable device interfaces and software architecture.

Operational information and analysis

What a power monitoring
system can provide.

A complete system combines installed metering hardware, communications and software to turn electrical data into useful operational information.

01

Real-time electrical visibility

Present live electrical readings and equipment status in device views, data tables and electrical single-line diagrams. Combine current and historical trends to help operators understand changing conditions across the monitored network.

02

Energy usage and cost reporting

Compare consumption across equipment, buildings and time periods. Configured reports can support departmental cost allocation, utility-bill review and energy performance indicators, helping teams identify abnormal usage and evaluate improvement opportunities.

03

Power quality and disturbance analysis

Review voltage disturbances, harmonics and captured waveforms from compatible metering equipment. Event analysis helps teams investigate the origin and effects of electrical disturbances and prioritize further technical assessment.

04

Alarm management and event investigation

Organize alarms, timestamps and related events into a clearer operational history. Configured thresholds and incident views support investigation; optional notification modules can distribute alerts to designated personnel.

05

Demand tracking and capacity assessment

Use load profiles, demand trends and power-factor information to understand utilization and available capacity. These views inform decisions about system expansion, load management and investigation of recurring demand or operating issues.

06

Building and third-party system integration

Connect electrical monitoring with building management and other operational systems. Supported interfaces allow facility teams to view electrical information alongside building data and share relevant historical information across platforms.

The delivered functions depend on the selected platform, software version, licensed modules, connected devices and available data. We review these requirements during project scoping so the hardware and software support the intended use.
